PS4 exkluzivita zvítězila v devíti kategoriích.
Akční adventura God of War ovládla 22. ročník DICE Awards, stejně jako v prosinci The Game Awards, PlayStation 4 exkluzivita byla vyhlášena nejlepší hrou roku 2018 a celkově si odnesla devět ocenění z 23 kategorií, včetně herního designu, příběhu a originální hudby. God of War tak ovládlo letošní ceny DICE, v předešlém roce se hrou roku stala The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild a získala celkem čtyři ceny.
Jako další se letos dařilo nezávislé hře Celeste. Ta ovládla kategorii akčních her, kde soupeřila s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Far Cry 5 nebo Shadow of the Tomb Raider, a odnáší si i cenu za mimořádný úspěch. Závodní hrou roku je pak Forza Horizon 4 a sport ovládla Nintendo exkluzivita Mario Tennis Aces před FIFA 19.
Skvělá westernová akce Red Dead Redemption 2 vybojovala vítězství pouze u vynikajícího technického úspěchu, což je škoda. Já osobně řadím tuhle kovbojku mezi hry roku 2018 společně s God of War. Z PlayStation 4 exkluzivit se hodí připomenout ještě Spider-Mana za cenu pro animace a zapomenout nemůžeme na československý Beat Saber, který má také jednu z cen.
O výhercích v jednotlivých kategoriích DICE Awards rozhodla porota složena z odborníků videoherního průmyslu a členů Akademie interaktivních umění a věd.
